We all thought they would be super fast, but he complained that they were so slow and hard to skate. So we let someone else try and she said they were slow too. Both used/had used two year old Pilot models with Salomon 4x80mm 78A wheels and are proficient skaters. He complained to Salomon here and got a new set of ILQ-9 bearings. Same problem. He then put in some Swiss Bones oiled bearings, same problem. So he is a little stumped. I decided to try them yesterday, they are 2-3 sizes smaller than I use, but just one push convinced me that something is wrong, they suck energy. Both skates are the same. Could we by chance have got a bad batch of original wheels? Does that happen? Could it be anything else? The boot fits better than the old Pilot model so I doubt it is that, and all screws and bolts are tight. The wheels spin long and freely when finger spun. The fingernail test doesn't really give any indication I feel. Would dropping wheels, a rebound test, give some info? I am wondering now how many people in Oslo have wheels from the same batch and are toddling around on crappy wheels... Hi all, Remember the slow Salomon 3x90+1x84 fitness skates? Well, I got to test another same model skate and I have changed wheels on the first pair at last... The month newer bought skates were just as slow, feels like skating in sirup, they just won't go. We recommended the guy to get his money back and buy something else. Problem is the another guy on RB 4x90 is on his third pair in four trips now (1x lace clasp breaking, 1x ankle buckle sewing ripped) so now we are jokingly sceptical. I had access to a pair of Fila M90 and replaced the 3x90 mm Salomon wheels with 3 of the Fila 90 mm wheels on one of the original skates. The Fila-wheeled Salomon skate felt a bit faster, but not much, I think the Fila wheels are 83A. I took off the 84 mm wheel and just skated on 3x 90mm , but not much difference then either, a little lighter maybe. So there must be something about the boot/frame combo. The frame is not standard, with a resin raiser at the heel, so I can't change frames. Maybe the boot slopes forward or something, putting too much pressure on the fwd wheels, but sitting on one' heels makes little difference. Anyway, case closed for my part, unless someone comes up with a good explanation and no-cost solution. br Franklin ............ Unquote ............................. Jag köpte själv ett par Radical 100's i förrgår och har bara åkt ca 20 km på dom. Jag har lite tendens till kramp i fötterna efter ca 10 minuter, men det försvinner igen senare och jag räknar med att det är ett helt övergående problem. Foten och skon behöver vänja sig vid varandra bara. Skon har tydligen en hel del massa som kan värmas upp och då formar sig efter foten. Jag tänker åka några mil på dom först. Bortsett från fotkrampen är första intrycket av att åka på Radicalerna endast positivt. Dom rullar lätt och fint och känns mycket distinkta i åkningen. Det känns som att man får full utdelning för all kraft i pusharna. Hjulen är ju inte bara stora utan även smala. Detta i kombination med den lägre skon gör att jag tycker mig behöva vara mer noga med att hålla reda på balansen redan i fotsulan. Bromsen känns inte lika effektiv som i mina Salomon 5*80 men det kanske också tar sig när gummiklossen slitits ner lite. Öht är jag mycket nöjd med köpet så här långt. Jag önskar iofs att snörningen hade varit av Salomons modell men är glad att jag inte föll för frestelsen att köpa deras storhjulingar. Radicalerna har Stargrip hjul som har fått bra omdöme i andra nätforum. Lagrena är ILQ9 som också prisas.
